The Partnership for Children, Youth, and Families is a shared structure for collective impact in Goodhue County, MN. We are a partnership of schools, social services, public health, corrections, community non-profits, and mental health providers that is committed to working on complex issues that affect children and families. We are an integrated children's mental health and family services collaborative and part of the Education Partnerships Coalition of Minnesota.

Our History

The Minnesota Legislature established children's mental health and family services collaborative in 1993 as an innovative approach to address the needs of children and youth who face complex problems involving them and their families with multiple service systems. The Partnership for Children, Youth, and Families of Goodhue County is one of 90 collaboratives currently in Minnesota. Collaboratives are beneficial in improving communication and coordination between service providers county-wide.  The Goodhue County Family Services Collaborative was originally established in 1999. In 2019, the Board of Directors voted to become an integrated children's mental health and family services collaborative to align with the work the Collaborative was already doing to promote the mental health and well-being in children, youth, and young adults.

Most recently, in an effort to reduce duplication and boost collective impact, the Goodhue County Child & Family Collaborative and RiseUp Partnership's Education Partnerships Coalition work merged to create the Partnership for Children, Youth, and Families of Goodhue County. RiseUp Partnership still exists as a non-profit organization, however we are now implementing a new organizational structure and inviting new partners to the table.​
